For a long time now, we wanted Lulu meet and play with other dogs. The only problem is, we don't know any dogs on our block. So my family and I usually end up as a chew toy for our dog. And let me just say, she has more energy than a kid on cake! It's hard to keep up with her.
I heard it's important for a dog to socialize with other animals. Just how it is healthy for humans -- it's healthy for animals too. So this weekend, we took Lulu to the Dog Park in Montclair. It was a nice, clean and extremely spacious. My friend, Alex, told us about the park since it's where she takes her dog, Tank (Thank you, Alex!). When Destiny set up a play date for Lulu, I was genuinely happy and excited. Now Lulu can meet and play with other dogs and that means less scratches and bite marks on my legs! Yay!

Meet Lulu our German Shepard
Just a few days ago, we got a new addition to our family, Lulu, a full breed German Shepard. My sister's friend dog had a few puppies and thankfully we convinced my father to buy one in time before they were all adopted. My family have a thing for German Shepards; the last one we've had was when I was young, until about 6-7 years old. Her name was China, an amazing, protective and beautiful dog. But she had a skin disease which my parents couldn't watch her suffer any longer and decided to put her down. I will forever remember China, there is something about German Shepards that you can't help but put all of your trust into them. They are truly loyal dogs. I hope as Lulu grows up she becomes just as much as an amazing dog as China. Until then, it's spontaneous potty breaks, biting my toes and her puppy breath :)

my comfort buddies
Yes, I have been MIA... I know, shame on me. But right now I have a lot going on that is 1, a little too personal and 2, too much to write, haha. It's a little bit of everything, family, love and life. Right now I'm trying to leave it in God's hands but that doesn't change the fact that I get upset about my situation...
I realized I have a support team. Whenever I feel down, my cats come into my room, they purr and rub themselves on me. It's as if they know I am upset and trying to comfort me. I heard that animals can sense your emotions and it's amazing how they come to do their best to cheer you up. Some how petting them and watching them purr in happiness relaxes you and puts a smile on your face. Thanks Momo and Kilala, the cutest and supportive cats ever!

this spot is taken
There is a spot in the house that all three cats fight for. It is right next to my mother's bedroom door; it tends to get extra warm because the boiler is underneath that spot. 90% of the time we can find one of the three cats laying there. What's funny is, they won't move for anything; you can almost step on them and they won't flinch. Brave are we? So I, the great owner that I am, love to lay out on top of them. At first they don't cry, but after a while they yell, "enough is enough!" Haha, they would usually run away and glare at me from a distance, they must be thinking, "Why must you always bother me?". Ah, I love my cats. Abby happens to be my cat, so she gets abused more than Kilala and Momo. She knows I bother her out of love, but due to old age she has gotten grumpier and grumpier; I still love my fat cat.

happy birthday bunny
I should have posted this up sooner, but I am in the process of learning about studio lighting. I was able to get my rabbit to stay still for a minute to get these quick shots of her. Isn't she beautiful? Her name is Bunny, I know very creative, and she's a lion-head breed. December marked her 5th birthday; I don't know her exact birthday, but I count it from the day I got her, December 20th.
Bunny was a Christmas gift from Jorge, when we had gotten our first apartment I had constantly bugged him how I wanted a rabbit. He kept telling me that our apartment wasn't rabbit certified? Now he was just making things up! I bugged him for a whole year, then finally a week before Christmas, Jorge had me open one gift early... it was a rabbit cage set; my eyes lit up. I knew there had to be a rabbit somewhere in the apartment, why would he give me a rabbit cage? He played it off that every year he will gift me the necessity to care for a rabbit, I rolled my eyes and started looking for my newest pet.
After a while for searching, I was upset; maybe Jorge wasn't joking... Then I heard scratching noises coming from between the side table and my sofa. I lift the table cloth and there she was! She was in her box standing on her hind legs and her ears perked up. I screamed with joy which startled my Bunny. I picked her up immediately to greet her; she was the darnest, cutest, tiniest rabbit I have ever seen! From then on, it was always the three of us. It was the beginning of my little family.

innocent until proven guilty
Lately I've been wondering, why the heck do I have so much cat hair on my clothes? I have three cats and two rabbits - I fight animal hair with a shield and lint brush. I do not let any of the animals on my bed, couches or any where else I put my bottom. Sometimes I let them get away with it, but a lot of the times it's a no-no. I keep a lint brush at work and at home, I hardly need to use it. But lately, that's not the case. My coat, work pants, and the clean clothes folded on my couch have been infested with hair. Until finally I found the culprit... Kilala.
I found her in my closet, when I tried to get her out, she swapped at me, lol.
She was just too darn cute to kick out. But only this one time!
