This week I took the time to read my speed light manual. For the longest time, I've always used my external flash under the auto function; I've felt that even with the flash it felt off. So, I took the time to learn how my flash works. Below are samples of the flash and it's power. I based everything off the histogram, if most of it was center, the exposure was correct, such as photo number 3 and 4. These photos have not been edited, this is exactly what I got out from the camera (RAW).
What I learned is that in difference scenarios, it will require a certain amount of power. Learning how to adjust that power and how much power the flash emits will be helpful. I'm hoping to use this soon and see the results of my learning =)
The last photo is a picture where I used the flash to bounce off on the wall behind me. I added a bit more exposure, darken the shadows and add vignetting. Teddy is the only stuffed animal that I sleep with, he replaces Jorge when he's gone.
