So I had a project this weekend. It started with someone at my job suggesting of bringing desserts in as we build the office Christmas tree. At first I was just going to buy some cookies, but then I thought how I would like to better my baking skills. So I challenged myself, I would make strawberry shortcake. I am not big on sweets or cake, but strawberry cake and cheese cakes are my only favorite. My cake did come out good, but it could have came out better. I didn't think to refrigerate it for a day or two, apparently it helps out with the taste, lol. I learned this after trying my sister's cake (she saw me baking and wanted to try as well). Lesson learned! After some time spent on decorating the cake, I snapped a shot of mine and my sisters. Don't let the looks fool you, haha! Next project will be cheesecake... fingers crossed!
