the camera club.

So I just got back from the camera club which was held in the Nutley high school. One, I've never been in Nutley high school before and it brought back memories of my own from when I was in high school, which was 4 years ago. And two, I've never been in the room with so many old people! Now, I thought that I would see some people my age... no... it was the complete opposite; Jane and myself had to be the only youngsters there. On another note, I've never realized how many old people were into photography. Where are all the young photographers? Overall, the class was good; I pretty much knew most of the topics mentioned with some additional tips and how to. Will I pay for the membership and attend from now on? I don't think so, I learned almost everything I needed to know through the books I have purchased from Barnes and Noble; a really great book for beginners is Understanding Exposure. I would recommend that to anyone who is just starting out.

After the meeting had ended, for whatever reason, Jane had a potty emergency. Instead of waiting until we got to my house which was less than ten minutes away, she started to trot along the hallways; the dark, wide, empty hallways. See, I'm not good with creepy, dark, and scary things; the whole time I kept saying, "This is a bad idea Jane". The situation I was in reminded me of something out of a horror film. Two young and innocent girls looking for the ladies room. Without realizing their surrounding becoming dreary and daunting. Usually when they reach the darkest part of the hall, that's when some creepy janitor with rope comes along licking his lips, and doomed to what may come. None of that happen to me, of course, but it was in the back of my head as we turned corners in search for a bathroom. With her walking a few steps ahead of me, I was prepared to jet at any given moment. My over dramatic imagination was relieved when the bathroom had been literally around the corner, but that was after we had realize we were going the wrong way. I didn't have to use the bathroom before, but now I did. As soon as we were done with our business, we left immediately to the comfort of our homes.

So with the stuff I learned in the Photography meeting I applied it to some pictures I took earlier... I need to practice on my post processing....
